The tool is expected to monitor the workings of the brain wave patterns of people with epilepsy and then immediately send it to a number of hospitals to be analyzed.
According to Sam Cinquegrani, CEO of Wave Technology Group, which also develops hardware and software, the technology, would help the patient to make an emergency call when he was attacked by epilepsy. He explain, with the equipment e.g. epileptic who is driving and pressing the tool automatically the doctor will send a message through the device when the analysis of physician mentions of epilepsy patients being 'relapse'.
"The doctor will ask the driver to stop the car when there are symptoms of epilepsy suddenly attacked," said Cinquegrani as reported by PC World, Monday (08/30/2010).
Patients with epilepsy in the United States are estimated to have reached approximately three million people and 10 percent are people with severe epilepsy. Almost every day 300 people are under attack many times.
"Some people are in a dangerous condition," said Cinquegrani.
Expected with the presence of technological developments in the doctors will be easier to help cure epilepsy patients are handled. The prototype device is planning to be tested in the year 2011.
Patients most likely to spend their money until approximately USD1.500 USD2.500 per year if you want to get the following devices connected to the physician services.
