3D Penetration Higher Than HDTV

Gadget Review - Sony insists that the adoption rate for TV three-dimensional (3D) images of the new will be much faster than the HDTV. It is estimated that 3D TV will become very popular in 2011.

As is known Japanese companies supporting 3D technology to all resources, including support through the PlayStation 3 content. Most important, a TV set that supports 3D through new Bravia series.

"3D TV will be driven by creating an ecosystem based around the content, TV penetration, and so on," said President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Andrew House, as reported by Softpedia, Tuesday (28/12/2010).

"In England you see a strong drive by broadcasters such as Sky, who saw great potential in 3D technologies that drive HD TV," he added.

But House also acknowledged that the right economic climate to help sales of expensive devices.

"This is a shift in technology that does not affect the economic situation for many countries in Europe," he said.

He then talked about how 3D will greatly help the overall gaming experience.

"I think the 3D benefits far more real interactive experience. Our role is to act as pioneers," claimed House.
