McAfee said in a prediction list of Internet threats in 2011 that the latest Internet technology in 2010 are vulnerable to cyber crime attacks. This trend will continue until 2011, in which the perpetrators will find new ways to steal personal information from consumers. Similarly, as quoted by InformationWeek on Thursday (12/30/2010).
"We have seen significant development for Internet technologies and social networking site this year, inviting cyber criminals to ruin it," said Vincent Weaver, senior vice-president of McAfee Labs.
Apple products suspected to be the main targets of cyber crime in 2011. The past the hackers are not too much attention to Apple because of their small marketshare. Now everything changed, since Apple has now become one of the largest internet technology companies in the world.
McAfee suspect that Trojans and other malware attacks to Mac, iPhone and iPad will increase next year. The alleged cyber criminals will also attack other mobile devices, such as tablets and mobile phone-based Android OS. These devices are highly vulnerable targets, as many users who do not know about the security system of the gadgets they use.
