Phone-based Android operating system received another threat. Section, a Trojan masquerading as a media player for Android smartphones automatically sends a text message to your important numbers.

The result of investigations conducted by Kaspersky mentions this type of virus called Trojan-SMS.AndroidOS.FakePlayer.a, is the first of its kind that is available specifically for the Android platform, though SMS Trojan is currently the most widespread type of malware on mobile phones.

Quoted by iTWire, SMS Trojan malware that infiltrated this particular attack from the financial side because it involves the transfer of funds from the account of the affected user's phone, the service provider behind the premium numbers.

According Kaspresky, trojans are planning to withdraw cash received before the malware out, and then disappeared from the device. Before running the action infiltrated services when requested by an application during installation, which had pinned Trojan-SMS.AndroidOS.FakePlayer.a.

For this reason, Kaspersky requested that Android users to be alert and not arbitrarily install applications on mobile devices. The company itself plans to release a security product for Android in early 2011.
